The Champion Juicer has proven its effectiveness and durability for more than half a century, and remains the leading heavy duty juicer for hard vegetables. The Champion uses the unique 'mastication' process to chew all the fibres, effectively breaking up the cells of vegetables and fruits, releasing a greater quantity of juice than with centrifugal juicers.

This process is highly effective for hard vegetables and is why the Champion is preferred for the Gerson diet. However, the Champion is out-performed with other produce types by gear-type juicers.

The Champion boasts a near 100% duty cycle meaning you can juice non-stop. With other juicers the duty cycle is typically 50% or less, meaning you would need to operate for 20-30 minutes and then stop for the same amount of time.

The floating cutter in the Champion rotates at 1425rpm. This is much slower than centrifugal juicers but faster than single & twin gear designs. Therefore the Champion does not handle wheatgrass.
