The
gears themselves are large, heavy/cumbersome, and blunt. This
makes cleaning, assembly/handling, and feeding produce a greater
chore than with other twin gear systems.
Special
Features:
The Twin Health has an automatic reverse function to preserve
motor strain in instances of overload. In practice, this feature
is irritating, glitchy, over-sensitive, and prone to failure.
Juicers of this price range never suffer mechanical or motor failure,
only parts breakages (usually due to misuse/overuse). However,
with the Twin Health I have witnessed nose cone cracks and electrical
failures - there is just too much 'technology' at the control
panel level.
Sanitation:
The
Twin Health declares a high degree of sanitation due to the implementation
of stainless steel. I like this aspect but must point out that
the locking arms (the parts displaying a yellow circular logo
in the photos) have deeply sunken grooves in them and are impossible
to clean. Again, behind the juicing drum (where there is inevitably
some juice leakage on EVERY juicer regardless of claims to the
contrary) there are unecessary depressions that are impossible
to clean.
Conclusion:
I have ruled out usage of this machine on the premise of poor
sanitation alone. Upon receiving the unit for testing I had to
spray the entire machine with hydrogen peroxide. Additionally,
the locking-arm approach, similar to the Green Star is not well
thought out
