The Aqualyze Stream Water Filter System is the simplest in home-plumbing drinking water systems with the added benefit of straight forward DIY installation.

Stream consists of minimal components, and is the favourable choice of space-saving, under-sink filtration systems.

Aqualyze Stream has a choice of 2 system options: one for soft water areas, and another for hard water areas. Both systems remove chemicals including chlorine as well as bad taste and odour and chlorine, with the option for hard water areas having additional built-in scale control. Scale is controlled by the addition of polyphosphate salts to the water that prevent calcium ions bonding into visible scale.

What comes in the box:

A saddle valve with fitted ¼" (red) hose. This connects to your cold main under your sink.

The Stream filter and holding bracket

A chrome faucet with fitted ¼" (blue) hose.

 

 

 

 

 

Installation

The simplicity of the Stream system makes it a popular choice. Installation requires no shutting off of water supply or cutting pipes. Full step-by-step instructions are included along with an 0800 helpline. A brief overview follows:

1. Locate cold water pipe (try running the hot tap for a few minutes so one of the pipes under your sink gets hot)
2. Secure saddle valve around cold pipe
3. Tap into pipe and leave valve closed
4. Choose location of Stream cartridge and fix mounting bracket, then mount cartridge
5. Connect red hose to Stream cartridge inlet (simple push-fit connection)
6. Choose location of chrome faucet and drill through worktop surface.
7. Instal chrome fauct with included fittings
8. Connect blue hose to Stream cartridge outlet (simple push-fit connection)
9. Open saddle valve tap
10. Open chrome faucet to collect water

Although this sytstem claims an installation time of one hour it could easily be achieved in half that time.
